The highly anticipated indie thriller JOSIE (formerly titled Huntsville)which stars Sophie Turner fromGame of Thrones, Dylan McDermott (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and Jack Kilmer (The Nice Guys) is set to open the Inaugural Mammoth Film Festival with a World Premiere Opening Night Gala on Thursday February 8 in Mammoth Lakes, CA. The festival, which is being billed as a mini Sundance, unspools February 8-11 and will feature a number of indie world premieres and hotly anticipated studio films along with shorts and episodics. Advance tickets and all access passes are available starting today.

JOSIEisbased on the Blacklist script "Huntsville"byAnthony RagnoneII,and is directed by Eric England,producedbyLuisa Iskin, Jeff Kalligheri, Kevin Matusow, and JohnnyWunder, executive producedbyCandice Abela, Karam Abulhusn, Stephen Bowen, Carissa Buffel, Fouad Mikati, Steven Chester Prince,Ash SarohiaandLauren Russell, co-executive produced by Steven Garcia, with music by Raney Shockne, cinematography by Zoe White, and editing by Paul Matthew Gordon. Thefilm was produced byTheCoalition Groupand in association with TheTraveling Picture Show Company,Waterstone Entertainmentand Boo Pictures.

Mammoth Film Festival is the brainchild of Filmmaker TannerBeard, Executive Producer of Terrence Malick'sSong To Song,Voyage of TimeandKnight of Cups.Board members include executives, creatives and industry talent including Jay Cohen from Gersh and Ryan Black from Grindstone/Lionsgate.Festival founders areBeard, Tomik Mansoori, Theo Dumont and Daniel Sol.Categories include U.S. Narrative feature films, U.S. Documentary feature films, International Narrative Feature Films, Action Sports, Virtual Reality, and Short Films. The full festival lineup will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
