Hollywood Fringe Announces Town Hall & Workshop Series, Beg. 2/2

Organizers of the Hollywood Fringe Festival (www.hollywoodfringe.org) announced the details of this year's Town Hall & Workshop Series, a collection of community events designed to assist venues, participants and other community members prepare for the 2014 Festival. The town halls will be primarily informative sessions led by Festival Director Ben Hill. The workshops will be led by panels of successful Fringe veterans who can provide a range of perspectives about their festival experiences. All of the events will also be followed by social mixers at a nearby bar.

Schedule for Town Halls and Workshops:

  • Town Hall I: Sunday, February 2nd, 2-4 PM at Hudson Theatres (Backstage Theatre)
  • Workshop I: Tuesday, March 25th, 7-9 PM at Elephant Stages (Lillian Theatre)
  • Town Hall II: Sunday, April 6th, 2-4 PM at Hudson Theatres (Mainstage or Backstage Theatre; TBD)
  • Workshop II: Saturday, May 3rd, 2-4 PM at Theatre Asylum
  • Town Hall III: Sunday, May 11th, 2-4 PM at Hudson Theatres (Mainstage or Backstage Theatre; TBD)

The first Town Hall will be held the day after the opening of Registration and will focus primarily on the three-step process participants must complete in order to take part in the 2014 festival. All registrations complete before April 1st will receive placement in the Festival's Guide, which will be distributed throughout Hollywood and greater Los Angeles starting May 2014. Registrations completed after that time will be included in listings on the Fringe's website.

The fifth annual festival will take place June 12th-29th after a week of Previews taking place June 5th-10th and an Opening Night Party on June 11th. The festival sold 35,000 tickets in 2013 and gave back all $258,000 to participating artists and venues. The event continues to be one of the largest uncensored performing arts festivals in the country.

June 29th- Fringe Award Ceremony & Closing Night Party
