About the Art For Awareness program: Hint Mint developed a philanthropic program to raise money for their partner charity, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer (Avon Foundation for Women). The program encompasses a new series of their signature artist tins, a fundraiser held at Hint Mint headquarters, and the online charity art auction.

The Art For Awareness Series tins feature the art of Shag (Josh Agle) and Lola, and were launched October 1st for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Hint Mint is donating $0.35 from the sale of each tin (total estimated profits) to the cause. The Shag and Lola pieces are the only originals Hint Mint has ever made available to the public, and can only be purchased through the charity auction.

Hint Mint is also raising money for Avon Walk by donating 10% of all online purchases made by Facebook fans in October, as well as donating $1 for every new Facebook fan in October (up to $1000).

"Hint Mint has raised over $25,000 to help fight breast cancer, and we'd love to raise another $10,000 by the end of October. Art and philanthropy are two of our biggest passions, and the Art For Awareness program really articulates our ideals," said Cooper Bates, Co-Founder and VP of Hint Mint.

About Hint Mint: Hint Mint creates stylishly packaged gourmet breath mints, and is known for their innovative partnerships with artists. The first Limited Edition Artist Series tins were introduced in 2005, featuring Shag. The Artist Series went on to include Gary Baseman, Glenn Barr, Owen Smith, and most recently James Jean. Hint Mint intended the Artist Series tins to be accessible art, and the tins often quickly sell out to collectors.

The company was founded in 1999 and quickly became known as the "Hollywood mint", being spotted with celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon, Brad Pitt and Kirsten Dunst. They are also the only mint to be featured every year at the Oscars and Emmy Awards. Hint Mint can be found at fashion retailers, luxury hotels, and gourmet food stores worldwide, and purchased online at www.hintmint.com.
