Chicago native, Daniel Sugimoto grew up around his Japanese American grandmother who refused to talk about her dusty past. After years of trying to approach the subject, Sugimoto with his big-heart and stubborn-nature got her to open up while she was preoccupied watching Wheel of Fortune. Letters To Eve is a 7-year labor of love for writer Sugimoto, when he started writing this story for his grandmother, Midori Sugimoto, he was unaware how important her story would be today...

In America's current political situation there are flickers of history repeating. This story revisits lessons of the past to make a better future from a diverse perspective of Japanese Americans across three generations, an African-American jazz musician, and a Jewish Immigrant.

Experience the journey of forgotten heroes as they fight for love, friendship, family, and honor in a five-week run at The Miles Playhouse, 1130 Lincoln Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90403. Performances run November 17th-December 17th.
