Gay Men's Chorus Of L.A. Announces HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR CONCERTS, Closing Out Season 39
The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA), one of the city's most revered performance groups, will close out 2017 with its annual tradition, the chorus' Holiday Spectacular, it has been announced today.
Under the masterful direction of noted GMCLA Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. Joe Nadeau, this year's 'must-see' Holiday Spectacular will pay homage to modern families during the concert by Season 39 Presenting Sponsor Wells Fargo.
Holiday Spectacular: Modern Families will ring in the 2017 holiday season at Glendale's esteemed venue, the Alex Theatre (216 N. Brand Blvd.), with four special performances - Thursday, Dec. 14 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m.
The dazzling family-oriented musical revue has a little for everyone, from traditional holiday-themed classics we all know and love to cheeky modern jingles to ensure lots of laughter and surprises along the way.
During the performance, GMCLA Executive Director, Jonathan Weedman, will be joined onstage by GMCLA board member and Emmy-winning KTLA news anchor and reporter, Wendy Burch, who will make welcoming remarks.
This year, GMCLA will be partnering with two incredible Los Angeles-based organizations devoted to finding homes for children, especially those specializing in LGBTQ families: Raise a Child and Extraordinary Families.
Now in its 39th season, GMCLA once again continues to move the needle by changing hearts and minds through music with its acclaimed chorus, as well as its arts and educational outreach programming.
