The Gallo Center for the Arts is looking for volunteers to help operate its patron concession services, and has announced a series of one-hour training and orientation dates during January and February 2012.
Volunteering at the Gallo Center is an opportunity for individuals to contribute their skills, abilities, and knowledge in a way that helps further the mission of the non-profit performing arts venue to illuminate, educate and entertain the communities it serves.
Due to the high volume of patrons attending Gallo Center shows throughout the season, all volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of three performances a month. New volunteers must complete one orientation session in order to join the Center’s volunteer community.
The upcoming orientation sessions are from 5 to 6 pm on Tuesday, January 3; Thursday, January 19, Tuesday and Wednesday, January 24 and 25; Monday, January 30; Tuesday, February 7, and Tuesday, February 21. Training materials, instruction and information on how to support the Center’s concession operations are provided.
For more information on volunteering and attending the orientation contact Ian McVey at (209) 338-5024 or IMcVey@galloarts.org. The Gallo Center’s premier partner for the 2011/2012 season is Boyett Petroleum.
