'Find Your Space' at the Ford in Los Angeles

By:

Find Your Space at the Ford is a new opportunity to practice creative interests at the Ford Theatres' public spaces, providing a FREE central location for the communities of Los Angeles County to meet up, practice and interact in a vibrant outdoor setting.

Each week during the summer, the Ford Theatres plaza will be available to individuals and groups interested in organizing gatherings around a creative practice. Art makers and enthusiasts of all levels are invited to bring their handcrafts, folk traditions, fine art, music or dance practice onto the Ford Theatres' entrance way and plaza. Photography clubs, knitting groups, music jams and play readings are examples.

To reserve a date, time and space on the Ford Theatres plaza, individuals or group organizers will need to fill out the Find Your Space at the Ford sign up form available at fordtheatres.org/opportunity. Sign up forms will be accepted on a rolling basis from March 12 - July 14, 2014.

Find Your Space at the Ford (FYS) is a program of the Ford Theatre Foundation and supported by the James Irvine Foundation.

The Ford Theatres hosts a diverse roster of events representing music and dance styles reflective of the communities that comprise Los Angeles County. Operated by the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, this historic venue was built in 1920 and is located in a beautiful county park in the Hollywood Hills.
