FRESH PRODUCE'D Continues Monthly Workshop Series

By:

Since the new branch opened, FRESH PRODUCE'd L.A. has workshopped 36 new works, collaborated with more than 200 artists, and helped to promote the work of dozens of writers from all over the country. In addition to their work with FP, our writer-collaborators have had readings and work presented at Ars Nova, the Public Theater, and MCC Theater at the Lucille Lortel Theater, to name a few. Additionally, we produced three readings of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor and playwright Brett Dalton's new play, FOOTPRINTS IN THE SNOW, for Broadway League producers, and we were selected by a Huffington Post contributor as one of her top theater companies in New York City, alongside the Public Theater, Playwrights Horizons, and The Wooster Group.

We unite playwrights, actors, and directors to bring the page to the stage through risk, growth, and play. During formatted breaks, the audience is urged to discuss the pieces with the artists involved and artists are encouraged to blend with other like-minded collaborators.

About FRESH PRODUCE'd LA - the nonprofit organization provides a forum for up-and- coming playwrights. Founded in New York City two years ago, founder Riva Di Paola brought together actors and directors from the top theatre schools in the country to help fledgling writers develop original, experimental, new work.

Located at Moth Theater Company 4359 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90029, our workshop is held the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 8p.m. Doors open at 7:30p.m. (Runtime is 1.5 hrs) Tickets: By donation at the door ($5 suggested)

"FP supports the work of fledgling playwrights...The communal atmosphere of the group creates the feeling of a company... For audiences, it's an affordable evening of theater (admission is suggested donation) and, who knows, you might see a Tony-winning work on the ground floor." -Shoshana Greenberg, Huffington Post "...standing room only month after month." "Actors, writing and overall collaboration was so refreshing." "The format allows all artists great opportunities!" "To have my words brought to life is always special, but to have it done by such a talented group of actors was truly remarkable. Fresh Produce'd's mission to expose audiences to new work is not wholly unique in Los Angeles, but the talent and dedication level of its members is a rare commodity." -Jeremy Kehoe, playwright
