WHAT: Music Director Gustavo Dudamel leads the Los Angeles Philharmonic in performances featuring internationally acclaimed soloists Lang Lang (July 12 & July 14), Gil Shaham (July 19), and Pinchas Zukerman (July 21) and a concert version of Puccini's Turandot (July 17) to launch the 2011 Classical Series at the Hollywood Bowl.

On July 12 and July 14, Dudamel and the LA Phil are joined by world-renowned pianist Lang Lang for Prokofiev's popular Piano Concerto No. 3. The evening also includes a performance of Ravel's orchestration of Mussorgsky's thrilling Pictures at an Exhibition.

Dudamel leads the concert production of Puccini's Turandot on July 17 with the LA Phil, Los Angeles Master Chorale, Los AngeLes Children's Chorus, and soloists featuring soprano Christine Brewer. The opera's magnificent portrayal of a legendary princess in China features some of the most beloved arias of all time, including "Nessun dorma" and "In questa reggia."

On July 19, in an all-Mozart evening, Dudamel and the LA Phil are joined by virtuoso violinist Gil Shaham in a program of Mozart's Overture to The Abduction from the Seraglio, Violin Concerto No. 5, and Symphony No. 41, "Jupiter."

On July 21, Dudamel and the LA Phil are joined by celebrated violinist Pinchas Zukerman for Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 in a program that also includes music by Strauss, Enescu, and Liszt.
