Nicholas Goldsborough in association with the Odyssey Theatre is presenting award-winning German theater and film actor Clemens Schick who will appear in Windows at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble for a limited engagement, October 26 through October 30, 2011.

Windows opens a window into the soul of Bill Gates: the fear of landlessness, the narcissistic fantasy to impress the world, the desire for security that rests only when it has conquered the globe, the fear of dissolution and proximity, which protects itself by being electronically armored. Schick goes on a furious and risky journey of discovery that leads from the uterus into the utopia of a predictable world. The night is a mixture of stand-up comedy, performance, and theater. There is no fixed version of the show. Therefore each performance follows the structure but is an original event. It is written by Mathias Greffrath and adapted by performer Clemens Shick and director Elias Perrig

CLEMENS SCHICK is a German theater and film actor. He studied at the Berlin School of Drama. He has performed at the State Theater in Dresden, the Schaupielhaus in Vienna, the Stuttgart State Theater and the Schauspielhaus in Zürich, Hamburg, Berlin, and Cologne. In 2002 he joined the Ensemble of Schauspielhannover where Johann Kresnik directed him in a heralded production of Peer Gynt. He has appeared in over 20 films and is best known in America for the role of "Kratt" in "Casino Royale." In 2009 Schick visited the German mission contingent ISAF at Camp Marmal, Kunduz and Feyzabad in Afghanistan and he presented Windows to the troops intensely dealing with the issue of war and the military.

NICHOLAS GOLDSBOROUGH (Producer) Nicholas Goldsborough has been a performing arts executive for 25 years. From 2002 to 2007 he was Managing Director of the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C. He was Executive Vice President of the LA Music Center 1995-2002. He managed the fund-raising campaign for the Walt Disney Concert Hall and established a presenting organization for dance and ballet that is now called Gloria Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center. Clients have included Carnegie Hall, The Jewish Museum (NYC), UCSB's Arts & Lectures, Valley Performing Arts Center at CSUN, and PlayMakers Repertory Theatre, at UNC, Chapel Hill.

The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble continues its quest to bring unusual and extraordinary foreign companies and artists to its stages. Past ventures have included a number of Polish, German and British companies (particularly the many visits of Steven Berkoff) and most recently Tim Crouch and Julian Sands.

The Nicholas Goldsborough and Odyssey Theatre production of WINDOWS opens on Wednesday, October 26 at 8:00 p.m. and includes a post-reception with the artist. (All performances are in English except Thursday, October 27 in German.) Performances continue Thursday through Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located at 2055 South Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90025 (one block north of Sepulveda Blvd.).
