The Chance is set to present a pair of productions that are perfect for the holidays beginning November 18 and running through December 27, 2011.
Up first is Anne of Green Gables (November 18 - December 27), a delightful musical adaptation of the classic novel about Anne Shirley, a red-haired, wide eyed orphan girl who's penchant for getting into trouble changes her life and the lives of all those around her. Returning for its 8th annual production is The Eight: Reindeer Monologues (November 29 - December 23), an outrageous adult look at life as one of Santa's reindeer after a controversy breaks out at the North Pole..
"Anne of Green Gables is part of our Holiday Literature series, and is a wonderful adaptation of the classic children's book," explains Chance Theater managing director Casey Long, who also serves as director for the production.
"We're also very happy to bring back the audience favorite, The Eight: Reindeer Monologues, for its 8th annual production," adds Long, who performs in the play each year. "The show has taken on Rocky Horror proportions in our space. We have audience members showing up wearing antlers or elf ears. The audience is very involved in the performance, and it's just a total blast. Plus this year's production features a roster of rotating performers, so you'll never see the same show twice!"
