Camerata Pacifica's SPEAKEASY Back by Popular Demand!

After the smashing sold-out success of Camerata Pacifica's inaugural SpeakEasy event in September, the SpeakEasy returns on Saturday, January 12, 1pm - 4pm, at Downtown Dance & Movement, 1144 South Hope Street, in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.
Grab a drink, pull up a chair, and hang out with the musicians! Nuclear Wines will join the festivities, and Humble Crust Pizza Truck will satisfy your hunger.
So, forgo the formalities of the concert hall, and come SpeakEasy! Bring a folding chair, (you have to bring your own chair!), grab a bite, enjoy wine from a can, and explore some good music.
Whether you're a classical music aficionado, or don't know Beethoven from Beck, this is the perfect opportunity to get inside the music with the world-class musicians of Camerata Pacifica: Gilles Vonsattel, piano; Kristin Lee, the Bernard Gondos Chair in Violin; and Martin Owen, Principal Horn.
During this SpeakEasy experience, Martin will talk about the 16 feet of coiled magnificence that is his French Horn; Gilles will lead the audience through the Beethoven Piano Sonata No. 26 in E-flat Major Op. 81a "Les adieux"; and the musicians will come together to Ligeti's Trio for Violin Horn & Piano - there may even be a chat about Stanley Kubrick, who stole Ligeti's music for the film 2001! Both of these works are part of Camerata Pacifica's January program.
In addition to bringing your chair, please bring questions! You can talk with the musicians and even take out your phone and hashtag #camerataspeakeasy to your hearts delight.
Tickets begin at $5!
Don't have a chair to bring? No problem! A $40 VIP ticket not only provides you with your very own folding chair to take home, but also includes 1 can of Nuclear Wines and access to the preferred seating area. (VIP tickets must be booked by Wednesday, January 3rd!)
