CRYSTAL BUSH Brings Humanity To Hollywood Fringe Starring In 17th FLOOR

Actress Crystal Bush brings an emotional tale of humanity to the stage starring in Katie Letien's new play, 17th FLOOR, as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival with five premiere performances beginning June 2nd.

17th FLOOR follows two desperate parents, Vera (Bush) and Randall (Shaun Bedgood), who learn the kindness of strangers is only as good as their intentions, as they seek refuge from the fate of their sick children in the parent's room at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Bush recently delivered humanity to Death Row as part of Hagar Ben-Asher's new heart wrenching feature film, DEAD WOMEN WALKING. The project recently gained critical attention premiering as a feature film at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival and releasing soon to audiences on the new digital app Blackpills.

DEAD WOMEN WALKING follows the final days and moments of a group of women on death row. Told through nine moving vignettes, the film explores the emotional effects of the state-sanctioned taking of life, not only on the prisoners but everyone else involved as well. Bush steps into the storyline as a Prison Guard whose unorthodox display of compassion eases one inmate's final moments.

Bush first proved a stand-out on the stages of her Chicago hometown, earning the Black Theatre Alliance Award for her role in the acclaimed production of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf. She took her talents to Sacramento, CA, performing on the Delta King River Boat Theatre as Belle in A Christmas Carol; and at the Sacramento Performing Arts Center in A Piece of My Heart, a role that would prove one of her favorites portraying the true life events of Officer Steele while serving during the Viet Nam war. From there, it was a natural jump to San Francisco, where she performed in numerous theatre productions throughout the Bay Area. Most notably, she appeared at the Berkeley Rep Theatre in Passing Strange, Big River at the Willows, Ragtime at Broadway by the Bay and Book of Days at TheatreWorks.

With a solid foundation in theatre, Bush jumped into the film, TV, commercial and digital arenas. Currently, audiences can watch her on Netflix opposite veteran actor Stephen Baldwin in the independent faith based film, God's Club.
