Bespoke Plays presents two new one act plays in a reading at at The Pico (10508 Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064), on Tuesday March 12th and Thursday March 14th at 8pm.

LIFE IN PARADOX, written by Laura Bensick and directed by Christine Boylan, is a documentary drama that spans nine years in the playwright's life after her brother receives a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. It's an intimate, real-life exploration of mental illness in a family. Life In Paradox stars Bryce Lee Townsend, Lauren Letherer, Phil Ward, and Lisa Dinkins.

SCOPE, written by Alex Engel and directed by Brian Golden, is about a gay army sniper who grapples with his sexuality and morality in the American military before navigating the treacherous political process to deliver sudden and decisive change. Scope stars Gregory Marcel.

Bespoke Plays is a monthly reading series produced by Christine Boylan and Ellie Pyle. Their mission is to offer play readings customized to the goals of the writer and readiness of the play, for Los Angeles writers with diverse stories and worldviews, while supporting local charities and nonprofits.
