After sold-out performances in Boston and New York City, the acclaimed sketch comedy show and winner of the Vancouver Fringe Festival, BROAD COMEDY is making its Los Angeles debut at the Acme Comedy Theatre in Hollywood and runs every Thursday in February & March, February 4th - March 25th.

In the words of The Boston Globe, "If this irreverent, giddy, snarky, perky collage of satire, sketch comedy, and cheerleading doesn't make you laugh, then either you are incapable of laughter or you are Dick Cheney. Or, of course, both...Sharp writing, playful performances, and impeccable comic timing."

"The Broads" of BROAD COMEDY are six irreverent and hilarious, multi-talented women who have been called "The Dixie Chicks of American sketch comedy," known for high-energy musical numbers, left-wing politics, women's issues, and R-rated shenanigans about, well, women's shenanigans, if you know what we mean. Called "Brilliant!" by the Comedy Central Insider, BROAD COMEDY scores side-splitting laughs with numbers like "The United States Extreme Right-Wing Cheerleading Squad" and the memorable teen abstinence movement lampoon "Saving My Hymen For Jesus."

But don't let the title BROAD COMEDY fool you, this is not an evening of male-bashing jokes. While the show does make for a perfect Girls' Night Out, men, too, lap up the Broads' unique brand of edgy, smart comedy.

BROAD COMEDY is the brainchild of multi-hyphenated actress-writer-director Katie Goodman and her husband, playwright and actor Soren Kisiel. Goodman, daughter of nationally syndicated columnist Ellen Goodman, is also an Oprah Magazine contributor, a Keynote Speaker, workshop facilitator, creativity consultant and author of the book Improvisation For The Spirit: Live A More Creative, Spontaneous and Courageous Life Using the Tools of Improv Comedy.

Showtimes are at 8:00PM, every Thursday in February and March. Tickets are available at www.broadcomedy.com. The Acme Comedy Theatre is located at 135 N La Brea Avenue in Hollywood. The show is for mature audiences only.
