Aurora Theatre Company Script Club Announces Final Meeting Of The Season 7/12

Berkeley's acclaimed Aurora Theatre Company presents the final Aurora Script Club meeting of the season with William Shakespeare's Hamlet. Aurora Theatre Company Education Director Michael Mansfield hosts this moderated discussion series. The focus for this evening will be the challenges of facing up to personal truths, examining Aurora Theatre Company's production of Stephen Karam's off-Broadway hit Speech & Debate (2006) and The Bard's 1599 drama.
The Aurora Script Club was conceived and developed by Aurora Theatre Company Artistic Director Tom Ross.Closing Aurora Theatre Company's 18th season is the Bay Area Premiere of Stephen Karam's fiercely funny Speech & Debate. Three teenage misfits in Salem, Oregon discover they are curiously connected by a scandal that's rocked their hometown. When the trio (a "drama geek," a "queeny boy," and a budding school newspaper reporter) form an unlikely alliance to seek out and disclose the truth, secrets become currency, the stakes escalate, and their connection grows deeper in their quest for fame and free speech.
