An 11:11 Experience Presents FAMOUS A World Premiere Play ImageAn 11:11 Experience has announced the world premiere of Famous, a new play written by Michael Leoni. Famous will begin previews on July 14 and opening is set for Friday, July 20, at 8pm. The run will continue through August 19 at The 11:11, a new performance space on Kings Road in the heart of West Hollywood.

Through the eyes of Hollywood's biggest star, Jason Mast, we witness a world fueled by sex, money, and power, where image is everything. On the heels of Jason's first Oscar nomination, he plans a hot party to celebrate. The night unfolds with an adrenaline-rushed pace, ultimately revealing one of Jason's darkest secrets. His attempt to control the outcome ignites a chain of events that pushes the boundaries of real friendship and reveals the true cost of fame. Running time is 90 minutes.

Under playwright Leoni's direction, the cast will feature (in alphabetical order) Derick Breezee, Megan Davis, Rosie DeCandia, Gregory DePetro, Christopher Dietrick, Kenny Johnston, Thomas McNamara, Rachael Meyers, Decker Sadowski, Markus Silbiger, and Jacqi Vene.

The production will feature the music of international artist Conner Youngblood, whose work has been featured on Grey's Anatomy and Teen Wolf, and in Michael Leoni's feature film American Street Kid. The design team includes David Offner (set), Ovation Award-nominee Martha Carter (lighting), LaRae Wilson (costumes), and Scott Casillas (sound). Hair and make-up design is by Linda Michaels, and the stage manager is Kristin Bolinski.

Michael Leoni's recent production of Elevator ran for seven months at The Coast Playhouse and 10 months at The Hudson and Macha Theatres. It received rave reviews. The show was a Los Angeles Times Best Bet and Critics Pick, as well as earning 11 Broadway World Award nominations including Best New Work. Leoni also wrote and directed The Playground (a rock music-infused piece inspired by the lives of homeless kids) which ran at least once a year for five consecutive years.

He directed the one-woman show Listen, Can You Hear Me Now? at the NY Fringe Festival and won Best of Fringe at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Other NY theatre credits include the rock musical Loud as well as writing and directing Enigma and Deviants. Film credits include writing and directing the multiple award-winning feature documentary American Street Kid which will be in theatres this fall. Other films include Radford Rd., Deliver Us, Disappear Here, Spare Some Change and Someplace In Between. He is in post-production on the feature film #WhenTodayEnds and has just completed his new book "Dare to Be Bad."

There will be four preview performances of Famous on Saturday 7/14 at 8pm, Sunday 7/15 at 7pm, Wednesday 7/18 at 8pm, and Thursday 7/19 at 8pm. Opening is set for Friday 7/20 at 8pm. The regular running schedule is Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 7pm through August 19. Tickets are now on sale and may be purchased online at www.FamousThePlay.com or by phone at (323) 378-6969. General admission is $35.
