2nd Annual DANCE! Mini-Fest at The Odyssey

DANCE! at the Odyssey 2018 - Odyssey Theatre Ensemble celebrates the art of dance with its second annual mini-festival.

• Saturday, Jan. 20 at 8 p.m and Sunday, Jan. 21 at 2 p.m..:
Odyssey Theatre presents Micaela Taylor + The TL Collective in "Rosewood," blurring the lines between hip-hop and contemporary dance with a work revealing the complex mind set of a young faith filled artist determined to keep up with the trends of this generation without losing her unique identity.

• Jan. 26 - Feb. 4 (Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m.):
Odyssey Theatre presents L.A. Contemporary Dance Company in "RIFT," an evening of thought provoking, imaginative and otherworldly new work by cutting edge Los Angeles choreographers Genevieve Carson, Nathan Makolandra and Stephanie Zaletel.

• Thursday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m.:
Odyssey Theatre presents the premiere of "naked." Choreographer Corina Kinnear explores the non-sexualized human form and the perception of nudity through movement. The evening includes a scientific discourse with the audience, an art installation by Gina Teichert of San Francisco, a photo series by Babette Delafayette of Seattle, and live music by Los Angeles indie band Silent Scream. 8 p.m.: naked art; 8:30 p.m: naked dance 9 p.m: naked conversation 9:30 p.m: naked music.
