18th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts Finals Set for Tomorrow in LA

Now in its 18th year, theWorld Championships of Performing Arts, an annual international meet often cited as the official "Talent Olympics" for aspiring performers and entertainers, is the only event of its kind held annually in "Hollywood," the entertainment capital of the world. Talent contestants from more than 50 countries and the USA vie for the crown in various competitive events with over $300,000 in scholarships available for winners.
There are six categories of competition: dancing, singing, modeling, acting, instrumental and variety arts. Each "act" is allowed one minute to showcase their skills. Over one hundred judges from the entertainment industry are involved narrowing down the best of the best of the international talent before the main prizes are awarded - official World Champion "gold medals", trophies and plaques, $30,000 in scholarships to the famed Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood, California, $150,000 in scholarships to the New York Film Academy recognized as the "hands-on" school of choice by industry professionals, and $120,000 in scholarships to the esteemed New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts - Film, Television, and Theater...and the top prizes of all, the coveted titles "Junior and Senior Grand Champion Performers of the World!"
