D.L. Hughley To Perform At Monte Carlo 9/16-19; Tickets On Sale Now

Best known as the star and producer of his namesake television show “The Hughleys,” and as one of the four stand-out comedians featured in Spike Lee’s hit comedy docu-film The Original Kings of Comedy, stand-up comedian D.L. Hughley will perform inside the Lance Burton Theatre at Monte Carlo September 16 – 19 at 9 p.m. nightly.

A stand-up comedian to the core, Hughley starred in his own one-hour special for HBO entitled “Unapologetic.”  The special, Hughley’s fourth for the network, was taped before a live audience at the historic Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C.  In its review, the Hollywood Reporter said, “…the likable Hughley is the real deal, a guy who comes with his A-material and nails every line with smarts and savvy….connecting with the audience from the first minute through the last.”  The special is currently available on DVD.

A veteran of numerous talk show appearances, Hughley has hosted his own talk show on Comedy Central “Weekends at the DL.”  He also has headlined several comedy specials including “D.L. Hughley: Going Home,” “D.L. Hughley Live,” “Shocked & Appalled” and the recent “Unapologetic.”

In 2007, Hughley starred on the NBC series “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” as well as hosted HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.”  In the summer of 2008, he hosted the BET series “S.O.B: Socially Offensive Behavior.”

A true king of comedy, Hughley can currently be heard on the New York airwaves as host of the morning show on KISS-FM.  He was mostly recently seen on CNN hosting his own talk show, “D.L. Hughley Breaks the News,” and now is a regular contributor to the network.
