Summer Master Electrician (ME) - Santa Cruz Shakespeare

Working directly with the Technical Director and Lighting Designer, the Master Electrician leads the team responsible for loading in and setting up the lighting system in our outdoor theatre. Must be fully knowledgeable about lighting systems, power load balancing, rigging safety, and focusing lights. Must have experience and be comfortable climbing up to lighting positions in a harness, on a ladder, and in a scissor lift. Must be comfortable working outside.

The ideal candidate has at least a year of experience in the field, a can-do attitude, the ability to work cooperatively with other members of the company, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

The position is full time from June 9, 2026 to July 26, 2026, with 40 hours of remote prep work in early May 2026. The schedule is primarily Tuesday through Saturday. Housing is provided.
