Two Funeral Directors Go Head to Head in LOOKING DEADLY At The Everyman

Written and performed by Niamh McGrath and Keith Singleton, and directed by Amy Conroy, Looking Deadly tells the story of two small town Funeral Directors competing for business over the course of a three day wake. Our heroes are rooted in tradition and caring for those left behind, while their rivals run a franchise and all who stand in their way out of business. The show will get three performances in Cork at The Everyman between Tuesday, 11th September and Thursday, 13th September at 8pm each night.
We experience the many traditions and meet numerous poignant and hilarious characters present over the course of an Irish Wake, while giving surprising insight into the sometimes mysterious world of the Funeral Director. McGrath and Singleton deliver an hour of madcap physical comedy, tongue-twisting rambles, synchronised gestures and flawless accents that can't fail to make you laugh.
Looking Deadly was written and first performed at the Dublin Fringe Festival 2016 as part of the 'Show in a Bag' initiative run by Fishamble: The New Play Company and the Irish Theatre Institute. Since then, it has toured extensively across Ireland to full houses and standing ovations.
Tickets for Looking Deadly are available from everymancork.com and from the box office at The Everyman. Tickets are €20, concession entry tickets are €18 and student tickets are €9.
