Riverdance Add Extra Performances in Wexford Opera House Through 6/13
Due to unprecedented demand, RIVERDANCE has added two extra performances in Wexford Opera House. Now running from Thursday, June 10th through Sunday, June 13th at 8pm with matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm, it's testament to the continuing popularity of RIVERDANCE that only a number of limited tickets are still available in advance of this highly anticipated music and dance extravaganza. If you haven't booked already, do so immediately to avoid disappointment. People lucky enough to scoop up tickets are reminded that the Sky View Café in Wexford Opera House is offering pre-show dinners prior to each performance. Light refreshments will also be available in the café from 7pm each evening of RIVERDANCE.
RIVERDANCE first tapped its way onto the world stage 15 years ago when it opened in the Point Depot in Dublin in February 1995 and has gone on since then to thrill millions of people around the globe. Composed by Bill Whelan, produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan, to date, RIVERDANCE has played nearly 10,000 performances, been seen live by more than 22 million people in over 350 venues throughout 40 countries across 4 continents. The show has travelled well in excess of 600,000 miles (or to the moon and back!), played to a worldwide television audience of nearly 2 billion; sold over 3 million copies of the Grammy Award-winning CD (certified Platinum in the US) and over 10 million videos, making it one of the best-selling entertainment videos in the world!
