From Tony Award winning playwright, Noel Coward, The Wagon Wheel Theatre presents Blithe Spirit, tonight, August 1-August 11.

Imagine having moved on from a previous marriage and although your ex-wife is recently deceased, life seems much…simpler. One fateful day you and your new wife invite a rather interesting houseguest; a psychic medium. Who is the one person you hope she would NOT bring back? Exactly!

Blithe Spirit is the comedic tale of novelist and socialite, Charles Condomine who desires to pen a new book. His subject? The afterlife. In writing, Charles sets out to research the subject by inviting eccentric psychic medium, Madame Arcati into his home when all…Spirit…breaks loose and Charles’ annoying ex-wife Elvira returns from the dead to cause problems for his new relationship.

The Wagon Wheel welcomes back acting legend and Wagon Wheel alum, Ann Whitney, to play the lead role of Madame Arcati. Whitney has had a successful career on stage and film with movie credits such as “The Fugitive (1993), “While You Were Sleeping” (1995), and “Home Alone” (1990), to name a few and is the sister of actor (famous for his role of Lt. Colonel Henry Blake in “Mash” and also a Wagon Wheel Theatre alum) Maclean Stevenson.

Tickets are on-sale now by calling the box office at 1-866-823-2618 or you can purchase tickets online at wagonwheeltheatre.org.
