SBCT Hosts Auditions For HAIRSPRAY May 14-16

SBCT is excited to announce that auditions for "Hairspray" will be held on May 14, 15 and 16 with callbacks on May 17. Please visit the "Hairspray" website for more specific details.

AUDITIONS FOR HAIRSPRAY DATES WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

Saturday May 14th - 10am to 1:00pm - Dance audition for teenage roles with the exception of Li'l Inez

Sunday May 15th - 5:00pm to 8:00pm - Singing/Acting auditions for teenage roles with the exception of Li'l Inez

Monday May 16th - 6:00pm to 9:00pm - Singing, Acting, movement/dance auditions for all adult roles and Li'l Inez

(Lead adult roles call for no dance requirement just movement - ensemble adult roles call for some dance)

Tuesday May 17th - 6:00pm to 9:00pm - callbacks for all roles.

LOCATION:

Auditions will be held at 1st United Methodist Church, 333 North Main Street, South Bend - just south of SBCT

Enter the church from door on side of building off of Madison and go down to the basement.

Those auditioning for teenage roles (other than Li'l Inez) must be able to attend both dance and singing/acting audition dates.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF NEEDS:

There are 28 - 30 teenage and young adult roles ranging from 16 to 25. Students must currently be in their freshman year of high school, or older, in order to audition.

There are 14 Adult roles ranging from 32 to 60 - Adult roles do not require much if any dancing.

The director is VERY open to Edna being played by a man OR a woman - so bring in on ladies and gents! Let's go chest to chest!!
