Paanyavarchya Paaklya: A Musical Journey of Poetry through Dance- Dance Theatre Production at Experimental Theatre Friday, 21st - 6.30 pm
A unique dance production where dance and poetry are at times juxtaposed and at other times, blended. Inspired by Marathi poetry, this new choreographic venture by one of the city's innovative choreographers is an attempt to bring dance and verse together in a creative dialogue, in the hope of generating new layers of meaning.Vaibhav Arekar is committed to promoting Indian classical dance as a contemporary art form. Trained in Bharata Natyam and involved with Contemporary Theatre, he is active as a dancer, teacher and choreographer, exploring traditional, abstract and experimental approaches to dance.
