NCPA Hosts A Folk Dance Workshop For Kids June 1-6

Summer is here and the NCPA is happy to present a Folk Dance Workshop for your kids that promises to be great fun. Registrations are just open. Limited seats available. Do hurry and enroll!

(Dandiya and Rajasthani Folk Dance)

June 1st to 6th - 5 - 6.30 PM

This is a fun summer workshop that offers a basic introduction to the folk dances of India, with a basic orientation into two forms: Dandiya and Rajasthani.

Kalyanni Vrajesh is a young performer, choreographer, researcher and teacher of Bharata Natyam and Indian folk styles. She holds an M.F.A degree in Bharata Natyam from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya, affiliated to the Mumbai University. She has had advanced training in the folk dances of India from renowned folk dance expert Indumati Lele. She has performed at many prestigious festivals and events and judged various university and school zonal level competitions.

There will be an informal workshop presentation for parents and interested viewers on Sunday, 6 June, at 11.30 AM.
