Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in South Weymouth, Massachusetts, Holbrook was a student at Denison University in Ohio when he began his life-long fascination with American author, humorist, and storyteller Mark Twain.

During his live performances, Holbrook molds and shapes selections from a vast array of stories and witty lines encompassing a remarkable 20 hours of material.
