?Kumu Kahua Theatre held its annual volunteer appreciation party this past Sunday, at the theatre, thrown by its Board of Directors. In addition to great food, fellowship, and door prizes, volunteers were the first to hear the lineup for next season's shows.

Honolulu Theatre for Youth has extended the performance run of its season finale Charlotte's Web, the Newbery Medal-winning children's tale by E.B. White. Originally onstage through May 11, an 8th performance has been added on Saturday, May 18 at 2:30 p.m. All performances are at Tenney Theatre on the grounds of The Cathedral of St. Andrew.

On Saturday, April 13, 2013 the Puakea Foundation will be holding a night of fun to help raise funds for a new Puakea Learning Center at He'eia State Park. The Learning Center will be a place where people can come to learn the art of ancient canoe building with master canoe builder Uncle Bobby Puakea. The halau will provide the Windward community with a permanent structure where canoes come to be healed, where Hawaiian canoe building is alive and well, and a place where love for the ocean is born and shines bright.

Based on the popular 1980 movie, '9 to 5', tells the story of three unlikely friends who conspire to take control of their company and learn there's nothing they can't do - even in a man's world! Kumu Kahau Theatre will present the world premiere of ALL THAT REMAINS, a story of loyalty and betrayal told by ghost soldiers from the 100th Infantry Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat team who return just one night to a forest in France to recreate a single act of violence that torments both the living and the dead. Using an experimental style drawing from Japanese Noh theatre, ALL THAT REMAINS offers a challenging, provocative look at the heroism and despair of war.
