World renowned Broadway singer Lea Salonga returns to Hawaii this February for two very special performances, at the MACC Castle Theater on Friday, February 22nd and the Blaisdell Concert Hall on Saturday, February 23rd!

Known for her powerful voice and perfect pitch, Salonga is widely regarded for her Tony Award-winning portrayal of Kim, the title role in "Miss Saigon." Her breathtaking performance garnered her critical and popular acclaim - as well as coveted Tony, Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World awards. She was also the first Asian to play Eponine in the musical "LES MISERABLES" on Broadway, later returning to the show as Fantine in the 2006 revival.

During her 30-year career, Salonga has performed for five Philippine presidents (from Ferdinand Marcos to Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo), three American presidents (George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush), and for Diana, Princess of Wales and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Most recently, Salonga appeared in "Allegiance," a production developed by legendary actor George Takei. "Allegiance" tells the story of a Japanese-American family forced into an internment camp during World War II. The production just finished its world-premiere run at The Old Globe in San Diego. She also starred in last summer's production of "God of Carnage" in Manila and Singapore.
