Theatre Crude Fringe Festival is a 10-day event held in Oklahoma City, OK, showcasing a wide variety of in-person performances. The festival encourages works that challenge traditional theatre boundaries and welcomes storytellers, dancers, musicians, puppeteers, clowns, visual artists, and more. Theatre Crude presents performances that blend, bend, or upend artistic norms, aiming to offer unique perspectives in live performance. Selected artists will be notified by Monday, June 2, 2025.
Accepted shows must have a runtime between 30–60 minutes and must maintain a simple tech setup.
All participants must be 18 years of age or older.
International artists must have appropriate U.S. work authorization.
Application Fee: $25 (non-refundable)
Production Fee: $75 (due upon acceptance)
Box Office Split: Artists receive 60% of net box office sales. (Average artist payout based on past years: ~$400)
Included: Venue with approximately 75 seats, 14’x12’ stage space, basic lights/sound, a venue technician, ticketing and front-of-house services, marketing, 8 comp tickets, and festival passes for artists.
Additional Support: Free billeting assistance is available for out-of-town artists, though transportation is recommended due to the city's layout.
Theatre Crude welcomes volunteers for roles such as ushering and general festival support.
