| Breakdown
Details the life of a female Marine MP, Tiffany Hansen, who is sent to Baghdad during the Iraq war, leaving behind her civilian boyfriend in southern California. The play follows the Marine from her first day in basic training to her subsequent deployment in Iraq. Along the way, she meets Bobby, a car mechanic who will become her companion. The psychological effect of her deployment both on her and Bobby is examined, as is her reaction to her subsequent accidental killing of an Iraqi girl. Seeking: Tiffany: Woman, 22. Petite, but made of steel. Despite her terrifying upbringing, she is a calm, cool strong soldier. Feminine and sexy, but with a prickly exterior. Bobby: Man, 20s-30s. Blue-collar car mechanic. Handsome. Down on his luck. Surprised to discover that he is such a romantic; he used to mock those sappy suckers, but now he is one of them. Jerry: Man, 20s-30s. Blue-collar auto-repair worker. Stocky man's man. Crass, sloppy and full of humor. Tiffany's cousin and avid protector.
