Vanda is a preternaturally talented young actress, determined to land the lead in a new play based on the classic erotic novel “Venus in Fur”. Her emotionally charged audition for Thomas, the play’s adapter/director, becomes an electrifying game of cat-and-mouse, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, love and sex.

Vanda, Thomas and Thomas Understudy are cast with the performers currently playing them in the Manhattan Theatre Club (Friedman Theatre) production. Seeking, for the Lyceum Theatre transfer:

Understudy for Vanda:

AVAILABLE POSITION. Vanda is an actress in her 20s. Seemingly dim, but fiercely intelligent in an instinctual way. Huge charisma and sexuality. Calls it like she sees it. Incandescent, and capable of stunning transformations. Onstage role is cast with Nina Arianda. Seeking Understudy only.
