SEEKING
Equity actors for roles in Union Arts Center's 2026-27 Season. All available roles on the season are open to actors of all races/ethnicities, gender identities, disabilities, and neuro-diversities, except where particular identities are specified by the playwright and/or director as integral to character and/or narrative. Seattle actors are encouraged to audition. At this time, only the roles in A CHRISTMAS CAROL will be understudied. Some understudy casting for other productions may be available, still TBD.
Always bring your Equity Membership card to auditions.
PREPARATION
Please prepare two (2) contrasting monologues: 1 classical, 1 contemporary. Presentation should not exceed 3-minutes total.

DALLAS – M, late 20s/early 30s. Black identifying. Driven, charming, hardworking, smooth with his words and passionate with his love.
RIVER/ERIC/BARTENDER – M, Late 20s/early 30s. Black identifying. RIVER: queer, cunty, hilarious, bitterly single. Hopeless romantic with a snippy exterior. ERIC: smooth, confident, flirtatious leading man type. BARTENDER: total muscle bro, so sure of himself it makes you want to vomit. Happily single, absolutely sure he knows a woman’s needs.

BOB CRATCHIT: 30-50, Scrooge’s clerk, a family man, kind, hopeful, optimistic.
FRED: 25-40, Scrooge’s nephew, outgoing, friendly, positive.
MRS FEZZIWIG: 40-60, warm, lively, motherly.
MIDDLE SCROOGE: 25-35, Scrooge as a young man, engaging but worryingly ambitious.
BELLE: 20-30, Scrooge’s one-time fiancée, wise, lovely, open-hearted.
MARLEY’S GHOST: 40-60, ghost of Scrooge’s late partner, angry, tortured, scary.
GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST: any age, other-worldly, mischievous, but steely when called upon.
GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT: any age, larger than life, boisterous, bountiful, commanding.
