$1245 weekly minimum (LORT B+) - Until 6/28/26
$1320 weekly minimum (LORT B+) - After 6/29/26

INDOOR HAFEN THEATRE:
$889 weekly minimum (LORT D)
Plus - Travel to and from Utah plus shared housing and shared cars.

SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in Tuacahn Center for the Arts' 2026-27 Season (See breakdown).
LES MISERABLES, Disney & Pixar's FINDING NEMO, and GREASE will run in repertory and Tuacahn is seeking actors to perform in all three shows.
HOLIDAY INN and THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG will not be in repertory.
Tuacahn Center for the Performing Arts encourages and actively seeks actors of all ethnicities, nationalities and gender identities in their summer season.

Please prepare a short song that best shows off your voice. Have a contrasting piece if requested. Also, bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

SEEKING:

JEAN VALJEAN: 35 to 45, Tenor, low A to high B. Ages from mid-thirties to early fifties over the course of the play. Intelligent, thoughtful, with strong physical strength and a deep belief in forgiveness. Mature and compassionate.

JAVERT: 35 to 50s, Baritone, low F to F sharp. Ages 17 years from mid-thirties to late forties, early fifties. Serious, intimidating man with rigid respect for authority and dislike of rebellion. “Humble and haughty, like all fanatics... a dreamer of stern dreams.” Comfortable flying at heights.

COSETTE: 18 to 25, Soprano, B flat (below Middle C) to High C with belt, must be able to float a B flat, but not operatic-sounding. Innocent, beautiful, “tender without motive, happy because she breathes.”

FANTINE: (OFFER OUT. Looking for backup and u/s.) Mezzo-Soprano. 25 - 35, low G flat to E flat. A survivor who loves deeply and with passion, would do anything for her daughter. Once beautiful and radiant.

MARIUS: 20s -30s, Tenor or High Lyric Baritone low A to high A flat. Romantic hero. Good looking, young leading man. Earnest, self-taught, and pure-hearted.

EPONINE: 20s, Mezzo Belt (low F sharp to E). Waif – Down-trodden child of the streets but “Amid the grime and shame, she preserves traces of pride, a spark of love.”

THENARDIER: 30s-40s, Baritone (C to high G flat). Strong character with comedic ability and a dark side. A great swindler, who can transform from hospitable to formidable. “Knows how to do a little of everything, all of it badly.”

MADAME THENARDIER: 30s -40s, Alto / Mezzo Belt (low G sharp to D). Strong character with comedic ability and a dark side. “Loves nothing but her children, fears nothing but her husband.” Unethical but knows how to perform and survive.

ENJORLAS: 20s -30s, Baritone / tenor (low A to high G). Charismatic with fierce dedication. Intellectually and physically a leader. “Angelically beautiful young man… capable of being terrible.”

ENSEMBLE DANCER/SINGERS: 20s-40s. All identities and physical types who are both EXCELLENT singers and EXCELLENT dancers in both contemporary musical theatre style and tap. Ensemble members play various featured roles in all shows as well as cover Principals.

NEMO: 18 to 26 years old, female identifying. Adorable, endlessly curious, spirited and fearless, yet at the same time naïve and vulnerable. Marlin’s child. Bright and youthful mix or belt. Vocal Range A3-Eb5. Comfortable flying at heights.

CRUSH: 25 to 50 years old, all ethnicities. Male identifying. Laid back and fun-loving surfer dude turtle. Wise old father with the ability to rock. High tenor, must have effortless, sustained, full voice/mix high 'C’. B2-D5

MARLIN: 30s - 40s. Nemo’s father. Male identifying. Over-protective yet very loving father. Huge heart, great comedic talent. Scared of virtually everything. Bari-tenor, able to handle musical 'patter' to G. Comfortable flying at heights.

BRUCE: 25 - 40 years old. Male identifying. A vegetarian great white shark. Can go from soft shoe to raging punk; comedic. Must Tap. Rich, boomy baritone to E4.

DORY: 25 - 40 years old. Female identifying. A forgetful, yet very optimistic lady fish and Marlin’s companion during this journey. Extremely quirky and an expert with comedic material. Contemporary Belt/Mix to F5. Comfortable flying at heights.

DANNY ZUKO: 18-25 a high school student. The leader of the “Burger Palace Boys.” Well-built, nice-looking, with an air of cool easygoing charm. Strong and confident.

SANDY DUMBROWSKI: 18-25 a high school student. Danny’s love interest. Sweet, wholesome, naïve, cute, like Sandra Dee of the “Gidget” movies. Strong pop vocal sensibility required.

KENICKIE: 18-25 a high school student. Second-in-command of the Burger Palace Boys. Tough-looking, tattooed, surly, avoids any show of softness. Has an off-beat sense of humor. Pop, Bari-tenor.

DOODY: 18-25 a high school student. Youngest of the Burger Palace guys. He’s charming with a disarming smile and a hero-worshipping attitude toward the other guys. Guitar a plus.

ROGER: 18-25 a high school student. The “anything-for-a-laugh” type. Full of mischief, half-baked schemes and ideas. He’s a clown who enjoys putting other people on.

SONNY LATIERRI: 18-25 a high school student. A braggart and wheeler-dealer who thinks he’s a real lady-killer.

BETTY RIZZO: 18-25 a high school student. Leader of the Pink Ladies. She is tough, sarcastic and outspoken but vulnerable with unconventional good looks.

FRENCHY: 18-25 a high school student. The dreamer of the Pink Ladies. She’s good-natured, but not the brightest. Heavily made-up, fussy about her appearance—particularly her hair. She can’t wait to finish high school so she can be a beautician.

MARTY: 18-25 a high school student. The “beauty” of the Pink Ladies. Pretty, looks older than the other girls, but betrays her real age when she opens her mouth. Tries to act sophisticated.

JAN: 18-25 a high school student. Comedienne of the Pink Ladies. She’s loud and pushy with the girls but shy with boys.

PATTY SIMCOX: 18-25 a high school student. A typical cheerleader at a middle-class American public high school. She’s attractive and athletic, aggressive and sure of herself, given to bursts of disconcerting enthusiasm. She’s catty, but in an All-American Girl sort of way. She can also twirl a baton.

EUGENE FLORCZYK: 18-25 a high school student. The class valedictorian. Physically awkward with a high-pitched voice. An apple-polisher, smug and pompous, but gullible.

VINCE FONTAINE: 25-50. A typical “teen audience” radio disc jockey. Slick, egotistical, fast-talking. A veteran “greaser.”

TEEN ANGEL/JOHNNY CASINO: Timeless. A good-looking falsetto voiced cross between Little Richard and Nat King Cole. A singer who would have caused girls to scream and riot back in 1958.

MISS LYNCH: 40s-50s. An old maid English teacher.

ENSEMBLE DANCER/SINGERS: 20s-40s. Seeking all identities and physical types who are both EXCELLENT singers and EXCELLENT dancers in both contemporary musical theatre style and tap. Ensemble members play various featured roles in all shows as well as cover Principals.

JIM HARDY: 30-40 male identifying. Handsome, kind, sincere, honest, and good natured; ready to leave showbiz behind for a simpler life on a farm in Connecticut; An excellent comic with a great voice who can move; lyric baritone.

TED HANOVER: 30-40 male identifying. A handsome, charming ladies’ man; a bit slick and always looking for his big break; Jim’s best friend and performing partner (along with Lila); An extremely strong dancer; an excellent comic/dancer/singer; must tap extremely well; lyric baritone.

LINDA MASON: 30-40 female identifying. A schoolteacher with hidden talents; at first, she is tough and distant, unwilling to fall for Jim’s charms; but she is ultimately won over by his kindness, humor, and their mutual love of music; a lovely, charming & funny girl; sings & dances extremely well; belt/mix.

LILA DIXON: 30-40 female identifying. A sexy showgirl and Jim’s mismatched fiancée; she isn’t the smartest girl in town, but what she lacks in intelligence she makes up for with sheer determination and a love for the spotlight; an excellent comic; An extremely strong dancer/singer; must tap; high belt.

LOUISE: 40-50 female identifying. The local handy woman; tough, no nonsense and extremely perceptive; a strong comic with a great voice; belt.

DANNY: 30-50 male identifying. Jim, Ted and Lila’s agent; A strong character.

CHARLIE WINSLOW: (Male identifying, 9-12 years old) Precocious, straight forward, smart and practical, but oddly charming. Not one to mince words. One of Linda’s students who works part time as a messenger for the bank. Seeking a strong singer. Changed or unchanged voice. Seeking local talent.

SEEKING:

ANNIE: Female identifying, 25-40, American. The company’s stage manager who finds herself thrust into the role of lead actress when the star is knocked unconscious. At first terrified with stage fright, she finds the confidence (and hamminess) to fill the role.

TREVOR: Male identifying, 25-40, American. A theater techie who dislikes actors. As the company’s lighting and sound operator he keeps the technical side of the production moving forward despite all of the mishaps (including him engaging with the audience).

JONATHAN: Male identifying, 25-40, English. Plays Charles Haversham. He thinks of himself as a James Bond type despite a somewhat ordinary exterior. He cares about the play, but not as much as the rest of the company. Very physical role.

ROBERT: Male identifying, 30-50, English. Plays Thomas Colleymoore. He knows he is the star of the show and that he can earnestly persevere (sometimes plow) his way through any obstacle that comes his way. He never learns from his mistakes. Robert wishes he were the president of the Drama Society instead of Chris.

DENNIS: Male identifying, 25-40, English. Plays Perkins, the anxious butler who wants to do the right thing. Dennis is hoping that being in the Drama Society will help him make friends. Laughter from the audience feels like a personal failure for him.

MAX: Male identifying, 25-35, English. Plays Cecil Haversham and Arthur the Gardener. A true beginner actor who easily gets distracted but also wants to do everything exactly as it was rehearsed (meaning there is no connection with his fellow actors). Loves connecting with the audience.

SANDRA: Female identifying, 25-40, English. Plays Florence Colleymoore. Sandra is the (diva) leading lady who is convinced she is going to go far. Smart, driven and wants to be loved by everyone. Very physical role.

CHRIS: 25-35, Male identifying, the director of the show and this is the biggest day of his life, rigid, uptight, self-important, his pain is evident and every time someone laughs the pain deepens, equal amounts of contempt for his fellow actors and the audience, high status clown.
