Please prepare 1–2 minutes of a musical cut (clearly marked for the accompanist provided) that showcases your vocal range, conveys strong emotions, bold presence, and a clear, bright sound. You may sing from the show if you'd like. You may be asked to read from the show. Also be prepared for a brief artistic interview. Please bring headshot/resume, stapled.

30s–40s. Founder and last surviving original member of The Temptations. Never the flashiest performer, but always the rock of the group. A stand-up guy, tough, with a big heart and deep conscience. BARITONE; strong mover.
20s–30s. No relation to Otis. One of the founding members of the Temptations and the group’s resident choreographer. Well-liked and kind, but unable to cope with his own demons. STRONG DANCER; BARITONE.
The bass of the group and one of the first members Otis recruited. David Melvin English, better known by the stage name Melvin Franklin, or his nickname Blue. Franklin was best known for his role as a founding member of The Temptations. Strong mover; BASS.
20s–30s. Friends with Paul since elementary school. Eddie created most of the group’s vocal arrangements and served as wardrobe manager. Outspoken. Loved cornbread so much, they nicknamed him “Corn.” STRONG FALSETTO & strong dancer.
20s–30s. Lead singer of The Temptations after Al; helped take the group to the top of the charts. As electric on stage as “lightning in a bottle.” Maybe the most charismatic front man in pop music history. LEAD TENOR & strong dancer.
40s–50s. Powerfully impressive founder of Motown Record Label, Detroit native, professional boxer and veteran of the Korean War, songwriter with an acute awareness for musical talent and audience appeal.
30s–40s. Eventually manager of The Temptations, colleague to Berry Gordy, cheerleader, mentor and encourager of the men still to this day.
20s–30s. Belt to E. Wife to Otis. Embodies the struggles and strength of the women behind the iconic group, often seen influencing or orbiting the men's careers.
20s–30s. An on-and-off member of The Temptations; focused and conflicted artist.

40s–50s. Strong and hardworking semi-feminist, with a playful and comedic side. A former rock/pop star. Single mother to Sophie; cares deeply for her daughter. Loving friend to all.
20s. Actively trying to not be her mother yet coming to terms with the fact that they have much in common. Quirky, playful, a bit of a “minx.” Convinced that marriage is a key to a fulfilling life.
40s–50s. Bandmate of Donna and Rosie. Stylish and sultry, loving attention, with a flirtatious soul and loving heart.
40s–50s. Bandmate of Tanya and Donna. Ready for a great time, a laugh, a cry, a beer. The “Miranda” of the team. Motherly without knowing it; bold and kind.
40s–50s. Possible father of Sophie. Trying to do his best at all times. Left Donna 20 years ago because he was engaged to another woman. Charming, present, prepared, successful architect.
40s–50s. May be Sophie’s father. British financier, wealthy, buttoned-up, and conservative but trying to reconnect with his freer, youthful self. Happily married to his partner Nigel. Sweet, kind, soft in nature. English accent.
40s–50s. Could be Sophie’s dad. A travel writer with no possessions or strings. Has seen the world and experiences life to its fullest. Good-natured, always ready for adventure. Fun.
20s–30s. Recently made bold moves to leave his corporate gig and move to the island because of his love for Sophie. He sees stars and hearts floating around her every time she walks in the room.
20s. Employee of Donna’s, friend to Sophie, new mate to Sky; peppy, fresh, confident. Great dancer and proud of it.

20s. One of Sophie's main girls. Used to work on the island with the gang but has since left to find other adventures. Bubbly, excited, comedic and sweet.
