– Equity Principal Auditions by APPOINTMENT in Philadelphia

1812 Productions Philadelphia PA SPT $518/week minimum. Note: No housing is available to out-of-area performers.

For a 5-minute appointment, call 215/592-9560 x16 and speak to Noah Herman. Equity Members without appointments will be seen throughout the audition day, as time permits.

Please prepare a comedic monologue (2 minutes or less). As each member of the cast writes material for the show as well as performs, actors are encouraged (but not required) to audition with a self-written piece.

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.

Original piece with music. Looks at the history of political humor and lampoons current events.

Seeking:

Note: Show is topical and will change nightly, so all ensemble members must have strong improvisational skills. Writing experience is a plus.

Male Actor:

AVAILABLE TRACK. Plays multiple male characters, mostly ages 30–60, including President Barack Obama and a conservative pundit. This actor will join an existing ensemble.

The following tracks are cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible (emergency) replacements, should any become necessary.

Female Actor:

CAST. Plays multiple female characters, including Michele Bachman and Michelle Obama.

Female Actor:

CAST. Plays multiple female characters, including Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton.

Male Actor:

CAST. Plays multiple male characters, including Joe Biden and a news anchor.

Male Actor:

CAST. Plays multiple male characters, including Rush Limbaugh and a liberal pundit.

Male Actor:

CAST. Plays multiple male characters, including Mitt Romney and a roving reporter.

Directions, provided by the Theatre: “There are two entrances to the building – it is closer to come in through the North entrance – the elevator is to your right and we are on the second floor. There is a paid parking lot attached to the building and metered parking in front of the building.”
