Equity Principal Auditions:

Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Actors' Equity Audition Center

9:30 AM — 5:30 PM 165 West 46th Street, 2nd Floor

Lunch from 1 - 2. New York, NY

Prepare two one-minute, contrasting classic monologues, one of them must be Shakespeare. Total audition time should be under 2 minutes. Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Stage managers wishing to request an interview appointment during these auditions should bring cover letter and resume.

Seeking a company of Six Actors (five men and one woman, to play roles ranging in age from 30 – 60) for the 2013 summer season. Each actor plays three or four roles (see below), and all shows are rehearsed and performed in repertory.

Also seeking one Stage Manager and one Assistant Stage Manager for the summer season.

Wilder's OUR TOWN

Didion's THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING

The Woman on AEA contract may be assigned some combination of the following roles:

  • Mistress Merrythought (KNIGHT OF THE BURNING PESTLE), Mrs. Soames (OUR TOWN), and Joan (YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING)

Men on AEA contracts may be assigned some combination of the following roles

  • Citizen (PESTLE), Prof Willard/ Constable Warren (OUR TOWN), Gremio (SHREW);
  • Old Master Merrythought (PESTLE), Stage Manager (OUR TOWN), Baptista (SHREW);
  • Humphrey (PESTLE) Simon Stimson (OUR TOWN), Petrucchio (SHREW);
  • Venturewell (PESTLE), Doc Gibbs (OUR TOWN), Hortensio (SHREW);
  • Prologue (PESTLE), Editor Webb (OUR TOWN), Vincentio (SHREW)
