Seeking:
Roxanne:
(40) Smart, extremely competent and extremely overwhelmed. A stage manager who is very, very good at her job. She expresses her frustration with her incompetent staff, a wildly out-of-control rehearsal and the unexpected return of the man who broke her heart with sarcasm, swearing and occasional bursts of controlled hysteria. Attractive, appealing and a brilliant comedienne.
Harry:
(late 30s to early 40s) The understudy. Smart, witty and a good actor – though he thinks he is smarter, wittier, and a better actor than anyone else. He has a big mouth, a big chip on his shoulder and strong thoughts about everything. He does have a heart and cares more than he pretends to. The understudy who resents being an understudy. Appealing and attractive just not as attractive as Jake. Must have great comic timing and sense of farce.
Jake:
(20-30) The ultimate young Hollywood star – buff, tough, and attractive. His cell phone is a part of his anatomy and he speaks to his agents far more than his friends. Although he seems dim, he is very clear-sighted about the business of Hollywood, a shrewd observer of those around him, honest and fair. Must have great comic timing and sense of farce.
