The following understudy positions are available:
Understudy for Miss Helen:
Onstage role is cast with Rosemary Harris. Understudy position is available. Miss Helen’s age: 60s + up. Elderly South African widow and artist. Frail woman making her last stand for free expression through her art. Actress must have an excellent South African accent.
Understudy for Elsa Barlow:
Onstage role is cast with Carla Gugino. Understudy position is available. Elsa’s age: 30s. South African teacher. Miss Helen’s closest friend. Troubled by Miss Helen’s inability to cope with her current situation. Actress must have an excellent South African accent.
Understudy for Marius Byleveld:
Onstage role is cast with Jim Dale. Understudy position is available. Byleveld’s age: 60s + up. South African pastor. Long-time friend of Miss Helen’s. Sincere and charming man who is concerned about Miss Helen’s well being. Actor must have an excellent South African accent.
