Ned Weeks:

30-45. Intense, activist, difficult, charming, brilliant, and can’t take “no” for an answer.

Ben Weeks:

40-60. A lawyer, conservative, successful, uncomfortable with gays, but loves his younger brother.

Felix:

35-45. Closeted, attractive, NY Times reporter. Intensely sympathetic, intelligent, witty, with great emotional range.

Bruce:

30-40. Very handsome, charismatic, All-American banker, a leader, but very cautious, still in the closet.

Emma:

40-60. Fiercely independent doctor and researcher. Opinionated. A fighter, she does not suffer a fool gladly. She uses a motorized wheelchair.

Mickey:

35-50. Put upon, a victim with a sense of humor. Jewish.

Tommy:

30-40. Funny, outrageous. Southern boy who is all the way out of the closet.

Hiram:

35-50. A closeted, uptight bureaucrat in the Mayor's office.

Craig/Grady:

30-40. CRAIG is a terrified man grappling with the revelation that he has a mysterious and incurable disease. GRADY is a superficial and flirtatious office volunteer.
