Seeking:

Notes: - All roles are available (i.e. not yet offered and accepted).

    - Some actors play multiple characters.

Pridamant:

Male character. Actor should be able to play late 40s-50s-60s. Successful lawyer. Strong-willed. Lonely; full of regrets, anger and fear.

Alcandre:

Male (or possibly female) character. Actor/actress should be able to play 50s-60s-70s-80s-90s; a magician, mysterious, powerful, dangerous, witty. Timeless. Actor must be able to handle language.

The Amanuensis:

Male (or possibly female) character. A magician's servant, servile and seething with rage, but full of surprises; transformational, magical. Ability to play piano a big plus.

Calisto / Clindor / Theogenes:

Male characters. Seeking actor able to play 20s. Cast-out prodigal son of Pridamant. Actor must be able to play a wild, scary, horny teenage boy; a conniving, angry, sexy and violent young man; and a weary, sexually insatiable, disillusioned and bitter middle-aged man.

Melibea / Isabelle / Hippolyta:

Female characters. Seeking actress able to play 20s. The love interest of, then lover of, then wife of Calisto/Clindor/Theogenes (see above). Actress must be able to play a guarded but passionate and horny teenage girl; a fiercely proud, determined aristocratic young woman who's deeply in love; and a furious, heartbroken, disillusioned, bitter-but-still-devoted middle-aged woman.

Elicia / Lyse / Clarina:

Female characters. Seeking actress able to play 20s, early 30s. The maid of Melibea/Isabelle/Hippolyta. Actress must be able to play a mischief-making, horny, funny teenage maid; a maid in her mid-20s, in love, seduced and abandoned, duplicitous, scheming, very smart and funny; then a wealthy, jaded, disappointed middle-aged woman. This part requires serious comic skills.

Pleribo / Adraste / Florilame:

Male characters. Seeking actor able to play 20s - early 30s. Rival of Calisto/Clindor/Theogenes for the affections of Melibea/Isabelle/Hippolyta. Actor must be able to play a clueless, horny, sweet-natured teenage aristocrat; then a tougher, grimmer, dangerous aristocrat in his 20s, deeply in love and angry at being rejected; then a terrifying, ice-cold, vengeful middle-aged autocrat.

Matamore:

Male character. Seeking actor able to play late 30s-early 60s. Matamore is an aristocrat pursuing Isabelle. Spectacularly egoistical, in the grips of wild delusions concerning his military, poetic and sexual prowess. Stripped of his extravagant bluster, a man in late middle age, tender-hearted, cowardly, a lost soul, a wanderer. This part requires serious comic skills.
