William Gillette:
Late 40s - early 50s. Strikingly handsome, dashing. An actor. A lively mind, a fanciful imagination, and full of irony and life. He wrote the play “Sherlock Holmes” in collaboration with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and he starred in it with enormous success for over 30 years.
Martha Gillette:
Actress in this role must convincingly play mid 70s. Martha is a delightful, clever, fierce old lady.
Simon Bright:
Mid 20s. Young leading man. Sweet, energetic and enthusiastic. Aggie’s boyfriend.
Aggie Wheeler:
Mid 20s. Sharp, beautiful, bright-eyed, full of spunk and vigor. Simon’s girlfriend.
Madge Geisel:
40s. A leading lady, smart and passionate and delightful in a Rosalind Russell, smart-mouthed, girl-about-town kind of way.
Daria Chase:
30s. Self-made woman. Catty, funny, fierce, temperamental, passionate and gorgeous, too. Can't take your eyes off her type, even if you don't like her.
Inspector Goring:
Woman, 40s-50s. A female police inspector (rare for that time period). Smart, insightful, sharp.
