Preparation
Prepare a SHORT version of a song which is appropriate for the character you're interested in, and shows off the required vocal range. Please have sheet music in the key in which you will be singing. Please bring picture and resume.

Breakdown

Seeking strong actor/singers, all of whom are excellent at singing harmony, and can play everything from comedy to drama.

Actors who play the roles of Reed, Donna, Peter, Bobby, Maria and Tina will double as reporters, mourners, servants, staff, soldiers, etc.

SEEKING:

Graham: CAST: Sal Mistretta

Cal: CAST: Adam Simmons

Violet: Female, 40’s – 50’s, Caucasian. Attractive (but not necessarily in a typical way), stylish and sharp, with a bitter sense of humor. Good comedienne with an amazing singing voice, who moves well. Vocal range: Mezzo with a high belt to D, and strong lower register.

Tina: Female, 20’s, Latina, African-American or Caucasian. Very sexy and hot. Dynamic. Strong actor with range (will play heroin addict at one point), great singer. Moves well. Vocal range: Rock/blues mezzo with rich soulful low notes and a high mix or belt.

Reed: Male, 40’s – 50’s, Caucasian. Attractive. He is a very successful U.S. Senator, and looks like one. Type wise, a Kennedy, a Bill Clinton, etc. Good singer who moves well. Vocal range: Baritone up to a strong E.

Peter Hale: Male, mid 20’s – late 30’s, any ethnicity. Pleasant looking to slight character. Peter is The Head of Security – smarmy, calculating, charming on the outside, slimy underneath. Also plays Richard (the Doctor), Frankie (the sidekick gangster), and the Cardinal. Moves well. Vocal range: Rock tenor to high B with some legit skills.

Bobby “Cracker” Barrel: Male, 30’s – early 40’s, Caucasian, should be a sizeable guy – imposing in stature. Bobby is a Southern backwoods kind of crazy guy, who delivers a vaudeville number. Must be great with dialects. Also plays the large supporting role of Anthony Gliardi (Mob boss), as well as the Army sergeant, and Carl Moreland (District Attorney). Moves well. Vocal range: Bass/baritone with a big sound.

Donna: Female, 20’s, Caucasian. Ideally blonde. Pretty, with a nice figure. Strong actress/singer, who is great with comedy, and moves well.Actress plays Donna, an efficient secretary, Danielle (the maid), Deborah (the Barbie Doll-type debutante), and a TV reporter. Vocal range: Legit soprano with some pop skills.

Leslie: Female, late 20’s- late 30’s, Caucasian, character actress. Actress plays Leslie, a media and dialogue coach, who is a bit on the grandiose side. Also plays Maria (the assistant) and Reporter. Strong actress/singer, who is good with comedy, and moves well. Vocal range: Legit mezzo with some pop skills.

Non-Equity actors receive Pay and EMC points.
