Breakdown
This June the Green-Wood Historic Fund and The Secret Theatre, Richard Mazda, Artistic Director proudly bring back The Spoon River Project, a theatre piece with music, adapted from Edgar Lee Masters’ 1915 masterpiece, Spoon River Anthology. Adaption/Direction by Tom Andolora and Choreography by Jeffry Denman. Imagine sitting deep within an historic Victorian cemetery on a beautiful summer’s night as some of it’s permanent residents appear in the distance, convene in front of you and individually indulge their secrets, regrets, longings and share with you the particular turmoil of their past lives. The Spoon River Project will take place at night, in the middle of Green-Wood Cemetery, under the night sky. A trolley will transport the audiences deep within the gates of the cemetery for an elegant and haunting piece of theatre.
