Equity actors for roles in SPACEMAN.

MOLLY JENNIS – Female (late 30’s – 40’s), any race, an Astronaut traveling to Mars; intelligent, witty, headstrong, speaks her mind freely, dealing with grief over losing her husband. Please note: this is a powerhouse role that demands physical stamina and great emotional range. Molly is the only character on stage for a large portion of the play.

HARRY JENNIS – Male (late 30’s – 40’s), any race, late husband of Molly; sincere, appears towards the end of the play in an “alternate reality”; will also potentially double as a puppeteer to assimilate weightlessness of objects in the space capsule.

INSTRUCTIONS

Each actor please prepare one contemporary naturalistic monologue no more than two minutes in length. Dramatic or serio-comic preferred. Please demonstrate a heightened emotional range with genuine sincerity and clearly defined internally motivated beats. Submit at:
