PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:

SINGERS: Please prepare two 16-32 bars of two contrasting songs in the style of soul, funk, disco, pop, Afro pop, Latin, R&B. If you do not have your own music or accompaniment, we invite you to use the following piano accompaniment of the song ‘September’ by Earth, Wind & Fire (sound file, music sheet, and melody provided) sing the verse and chorus, first two pages in the music sheet, including the repeat.

DANCERS: Dancer Timothy Edwards demonstrates the dance combination from front and back. Please record as demonstrated, with the camera recording your frontside, and end with four counts of eight incorporating any social dances you know in a freestyle improvisation (popping, locking, etc) that show off your abilities, specialties, and personality.
