10 AM – 4 PM 151 West 26th Street, 6th Floor

Lunch from 1 – 1:30. New York City

Theatreworks/USA will run all aspects of this audition, and will “type” at the call. Equity audition procedures will NOT be in effect, and no Equity Monitor will be provided.

Prepare 16 bars of a contemporary pop or musical theatre song, and bring music in correct key. Piano accompaniment will be provided. Actors will also read from sides, which will be provided at the audition.

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Seeking:

Notes: ALL ACTORS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO AUDITION, REHEARSE, AND TRAVEL FROM NYC. All must sing! Also must be able to carry tight harmonies. All MUST be versatile, with comedic flair. ALL ACTORS ARE SIGNED ON AS ACTOR/ASMs, and are required to unload/ load, set up and/or strike the set. No single piece of scenery will exceed such proportions of height or weight as to make it impossible to be carried reasonably by two members of the company.

Skippyjon:

Seeking actor 18+ to play our hero, a Siamese cat with a big imagination. Non-Caucasian performers strongly encouraged to audition. Tenor.

Rosalita:

Seeking actress 18+ to play a feisty Chihuahua, the only girl in the pack. Non-Caucasian performers strongly encouraged to audition. Mezzo with pop belt.

Poquito Tito:

Seeking actress 18+ to play Skippyjon’s best pal, a boy. Tito is tough and macho, despite his small stature. Non-Caucasian performers strongly encouraged to audition. Soprano with pop belt.

Don Diego:

Seeking male actor 18+ to play the leader of the pack of Chihuahuas. Non-Caucasian performers strongly encouraged to audition. Baritone.

Mama Junebug / Alfredo Buzzito:

Seeking a comic character actor, 18+ to play multiple characters including a mama cat and an evil bumblebee bandit. Non-Caucasian performers strongly encouraged to audition. Baritenor.
