10 AM – Equity female singers who move very well 165 West 46th Street, 2nd Floor

2 PM – Equity male singers who move very well New York City

Please prepare 16 bars of a song; material should lean toward standard musical theatre, w/contemporary musical theatre sensibilities. No rock and no commercial pop. Bring sheet music in the correct key (including contrasting songs); accompanist is provided, but may not transpose.

Please bring a picture & resume, stapled back-to-back.

Based on the world-famous novel by Daphne Du Maurier. Musical has had several successful productions throughout Europe. Story is set in 1926.

Seeking Ensemble (M/F):

Character ages: Early 20s – early 60s. Seeking strong, versatile singers who move very well. Ensemble members play the various servants at Manderley. In addition, the following characters will also come out of the Ensemble:

Mrs. Van Hopper:

American, early 50s. Vulgar, gossipy, pushy and wealthy.

Colonel Julyan:

  • English man, 60s. Upper-class. Local magistrate in the region surrounding Manderley. Brought in to investigate when new evidence concerning Rebecca’s death is discovered.

  • Giles:
  • English man, mid 40s – mid 50s. Upper-class. Maxim’s brother-in-law. A bit of a Colonel Blimp- type, but well-meaning. Always seems to be somewhat distracted. A country squire.
