For the World Premiere production in Chicago at Oriental Theatre, followed by a Broadway production. Seeking the role of JAMES MORSE only (offer is out, but not yet accepted). All other roles have been cast.
JAMES MORSE
Male, 50s – 70s, African-American. A cagey self-made industrial tycoon who owns a large ship-building company. The loss of Naval contracts has endangered his business, and made it vulnerable to a takeover by Edward Lewis and Philip Stuckey. But he is determined to fight back to keep his employees working. Should sing, but doesn’t require a strong singer. Baritone. PRINCIPAL – OFFER IS OUT; NOT YET ACCEPTED
PREPARATION
Prepare a brief pop/rock song of choice. Bring sheet music for the piano accompanist. Bring a photo/resume stapled together.
